WELCOME to the Parish Church of Ryde, All Saints - a magnificent landmark church, sometimes referred to as the "cathedral" of the Island, overlooking the Solent, built to a decorated gothic design by Sir Gilbert Scott in the 1870s. Strong choral tradition, with dignified liturgy; occasional incense. A splendid "Father Willis" organ, and a ring of eight bells. Here the traditional faith of the Church of England is celebrated with confidence and joy.
The church is kept open for a good part of the day, and we have a modest shop for the sale of books, cards and CDs, open on Wednesdays noon to 2 pm and Fridays 2 to 4 pm.
All Saints' has marvellous acoustics and is a popular venue for concerts, and for visiting choirs.
In this church prayer is made for Kenneth, Bishop of our Diocese, and for Keith, Bishop of Richborough, Provincial Episcopal Visitor for Archbishop Rowan, through whom we receive extended pastoral care and sacramental ministry.
